Kevin is a partner at Andreessen Horowitz and leads the Tax team.

Prior to joining a16z, Kevin was vice president of tax at Alexander & Baldwin, where he led the REIT conversion of the 150 year old conglomerate. Before that, he was a tax partner in the San Francisco office of PwC in the asset management practice.

He is a graduate of CSU, Sacramento and is a certified public accountant in California and Hawaii. He serves on the board of Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco.

Kevin @Kevin_Nishioka · 593d @PowersByDrew @_Kesh_Money @r0man04 @MattLasky @leah_walczak If he did mean an UpREIT transaction (bc he doesn’t want to deal with TTT), then doing a cost seg in advance is a head scratcher. Also, $20 MM UpREIT deals are hard to make pencil bc of transaction costs.
